A great start to the season for the new Barnstoneworth team – 1-0 against SEU.
While SEU did score the only goal as a home goal, it was caused by pressure from the D2’s.
Unfortunately, while there were lots of opportunities for scoring, no further goals were forthcoming.
We are looking forward to our next challenge against Kariong..

The C’s started their 2010 campaign hosting Gosford at Duffy’s Oval on a sunny and very warm day. Having already played and lost 5-1 to our opponents in our last preseason game, we were expecting a tough encounter, especially with only 12 players available at kick-off. Read more
The good ship Barnstoneworth (D1) dropped anchor at Narara High School this week on a scorching Sunday afternoon for a game against old adversaries Gosford. With almost a full strength squad this was a good chance to try out the new guys and get a bit of match fitness with only 2 weeks to the big kick off. Read more
The opening of the 2010 campaign saw the Good ship Barnstoneworth setting sail for an early morning raid on Mangrove Mountain with a motley crew of scoundrels and vagabonds press ganged from numerous sleazy taverns and places of ill repute around the Central Coast. Rick, Alan, Tony Mick and Nigel were making their Barnstoneworth debuts and were soon involved in early skirmishes as we poured forward with the impressive Alan nicking a poachers goal within a few minutes. The Barnstoneworth B’s have a Redfern Raiders Trial Game which kicks off at 1.00pm on Saturday.
The game is an annual event and a good opportunity for the coach to assess the new and old players.
We are meeting at the shell service station at 10.30am to car pool down to the game.
