Avoca vs Barnstoneworth O45C1 – Round 5 Match Report

A great team performance across the park. We dominated from the opening whistle and denied Avoca a single realistic scoring chance.

We took the lead midway through the first half when Paul Harper saw their GK well off his line and lobbed him from about 40 years out 👌🏽👌🏽.  Second came shortly afterwards – a great team goal that started from the back and finished with a lovely Frankie cross from the right and a cracking header from Mikey C. The two combined again just before the break when Mike returned the favour from a corner which Frank headed home.
3 up heading into the second half – we had a shload of chances which we didn’t capitalise on, and again Avoca didn’t threaten and rarely had the ball.

Thanks to Bill & Frank from 35C’s who provided some back up on our bench. MOTM was Curly for the second week in a row, although he needed a “count-back” to edge out Dave H who had a brilliant game.
