After a few weeks of no games BUFC start the double header weekend against The Entrance.
Both sides started brightly with half chances at each end but neither side really troubled the opposition goalkeepers.
The Entrance played their usual organised passing game but really failed to penetrate the reliable BUFC defence.
BUFC pushed on and finished the first half the stronger of the two teams.
Half-time Score The Entrance 0 – Barnestoneworth 0
The second half started much the same as the first with both sides looking to dominate the midfield and look for a clear opportunity.
Ashley ‘the hitman’ Burford seemed to be on a crusade to ensure that BUFC took home the 3 points and peppered the keeper with fine efforts.
With the game entering the last couple of minutes BUFC pushed forward and Ash put over a low hard cross which the defender turned into his own net.
So ecstatic with the goal Ash celebrated with an attempted somersault which Dwight Yorke would have been proud of.
Another solid display with Darren and the defence keeping a club record 4th clean sheet.
Final Score The Entrance 0 – Barnestoneworth 1
